Cover Supervisor in Southend-on-Sea

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. This role offers a great opportunity to work within a supportive school environment and engage with students across various subjects.

Key Responsibilities:  
 

• As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.  

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and materials provided by the subject teachers.  

• As a Cover Supervisor you will manage classroom behaviour and address any issues promptly.  

• Support students in their learning and answer questions related to the assigned work.  

• As a Cover Supervisor you will collaborate with teaching staff to maintain continuity in students' learning experiences.  

Requirements:  
 

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.  

• Confidence in managing a classroom and ensuring a positive learning atmosphere.  

• Flexibility and adaptability to cover various subjects and year groups.  

• A degree in education or a relevant subject is desirable but not essential.  

• Experience as a cover supervisor or within education desirable, must be confident to deliver lessons and manage a classroom effectively.
