Cover Supervisor in Kirklees

Accelerate Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in Kirklees.

This role is pivotal in ensuring continuity of learning for students when their regular teacher is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task and follow the lesson plans provided.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, creating a safe and conducive learning environment.

Support students with their learning activities, offering guidance and assistance as needed.

Liaise with teaching staff to understand the needs of different classes and adapt to various subjects and age groups.

Provide feedback to the regular classroom teachers about student performance and any issues that arise.

Requirements:Previous experience in a cover supervisor role or similar educational setting.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain order and discipline.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.

A genuine interest in education and a desire to support student development.
