CounsellorHours – negotiable up to 16 per week (Working days are flexible but with an expectation of one evening a week)Salary £30,624 to £32,979 pro rataThe Linden Centre, one of the Trinity Hospice and Palliative Care Services, provides emotional support and counselling to adults, children and young people who are affected by the serious illness or death of someone significant who are at risk of prolonged or complex grief.

As part of the role you will take responsibility for day-to-day delivery of therapeutic interventions allocated to you by the co-ordinators.

The role will provide an opportunity to develop skills in both 1-1 and group support, within the Linden centre and out in the community.

The Linden Centre is in the process of transformation and looking to the future.

The successful candidate will be part of co-creating something new and exciting.

Working in the Palliative care environment is challenging.

We have a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated to making a difference for adults who are living with a palliative illness, caring for someone with a palliative illness and those in a pre and post bereavement situation.

We are looking for a counsellor with an understanding of the issues for individuals facing loss and grief.

Applicants must be registered with BACP and preferably have some post qualification experience of working with adults and/or experience of working with clients on bereavement issues.

The post will support the local health economy, providing training to external partners and working across the locality to help build relationships and to support the charity.
