Kenton Black are delighted to be working with a reputable and established firm of chartered accountants and business advisors currently looking for a CORPORATE TAX Manager to join their specialist tax department.

They are an independent firm based in central Manchester. They also have an additional office specialising in Financial Planning and Payroll Services Outsourcing as well as an office in Central London.

Their team comprises of approximately 100 people across various service lines within the Group. This means that they are able to look after a wide range of business clients, with turnovers ranging from £50,000 to over £600 million. They act across a breadth of business sectors and some of the work they carry out is highly specialist.

They also have a number of clients with overseas interests and they are supported in this through their membership of DFK International which is a tax, audit and accounting services organisation with independent member firms based across 90 countries. As CORPORATE TAX MANAGER, your duties and responsibilities will include:

-Corporation Tax with the opportunity to develop skills across advisory over time
-Preparing Corporate Tax computations
-Assisting the audit team on their Corporation Tax audits
-Review of complex Corporate Tax computations for the BSG (accounts) team
-Managing Quarterly Instalment Payments
-Capital Allowance computations and reviews

Research & Development
-Management of existing R&D tax credit claims

Remuneration Planning
-Employment Related Security returns (ERS)
-Establishing Enterprise Management Incentive Schemes (EMI’s)
Transaction support for projects including
-Mergers and Acquisitions
-Purchase of own shares
-Corporate restructuring

Person Specification for the role of CORPORATE TAX MANAGER
-CTA qualified or working towards qualification, ideally along with an accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
-A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to work to deadlines and targets
-Excellent organisational skills
