Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Base Location: Newcastle is the main hub however we are open to regional candidates as well.

What will you be doing?

 

  • Being one of the main points of contact on a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters (both compliance and advisory) and working with Senior Managers and Managers on our larger client accounts
  • Undertaking tax advisory projects, including providing UK corporation tax advice based on experience, researching technical topics, working with other areas of UK tax and our overseas members firms to incorporate their input into our advice.
  • Ensuring our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business.
  • The delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services
  • Supervising the work of junior members of staff and providing coaching to support their development.
  • Assisting our Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management
  • Support the leadership with business development opportunities.

    What will you need to do it?

     

  • Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent
  • UK corporation tax experience
  • Ability to:Analyse problems, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate, and integrate information.Communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clear.Sustain a high level of drive, show enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.Take personal responsibility and accountability for managing own work and juggling competing priorities.Continuously learn from experiences, seeking out feedback and development opportunitiesCoach less experienced staff, giving clear directions and constructive feedback.Work in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues, clients, and the wider communityBuild the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge, and experience.
