After experiencing rapid growth, we are looking to further expand our in-house content strategy.

The Role:

We are seeking a content writer to join our ambitious and fast-growing team, with the aim of delivering a full content strategy with our Head of Marketing.

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of UK education, specifically higher education at top-tier universities.

A knowledge of a variety of different written styles for different digital purposes, including blogs, service pages, and product pages, is also expected.

Duties include:

• Executing the content strategy designed by Head of Marketing
• Using SEO tools to improve the keyword density of content pieces
• Proofreading supporting content written by freelancers or AI
• Finding innovative ways to display or write hero content
• Making information about higher education accessible and interesting
• Advertising The Profs’ services

Essential Skills:

• Faultless copywriting and copyediting for:
• blogs
• service and product page
• scripts (podcast and video)
• social media
• paid adverts
• PR pieces and journalist articles
• email
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English
• Superb research skills
• High standards of accuracy
• Advanced proofreading skills
• Experience working in or extensive knowledge of the higher education system in the UK
• Excellent understanding of the admissions process for Oxbridge, Medicine and Law
• Good knowledge of the UK undergraduate and postgraduate entry requirements and degree modules, especially for Russell Group, Golden Triangle, and Oxbridge Universities.

Desirable Skills:

• Graduate degree with 2:1, or equivalent
• Awareness of the higher education systems in other countries
• Previous experience with tutoring or work within a tuition or education agency

• Previous use of SEO optimisation tools
