Hours: 4 to 6 hours a week with possibility to increase

Term: 4 to 6 months

Salary: up to £25 per hour depending on experience (PAYE or Freelance)

We plan to offer nationwide classes, workshops and events to children and young people on a wide variety of subjects under our five educational Hubs: Code, STEM, Innovation & Enterprise, Creativity and Health & Wellbeing.

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Copywriter to join our team. This role is crucial in helping us articulate the mission of the charity and our educational offering through the redesign of our website (to launch in September 2024). You will be responsible for writing engaging, informative, and compelling copy that resonates with our diverse audience, including parents, young people, schools, corporates and other organisations.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for the new website that enhances the user experience and drive engagement.
• Create Ignite Hubs’ brand voice and messaging.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content that aligns with SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure high standards of grammar and punctuation.

The ideal person will have

• Proven experience as a copywriter.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to web content is highly desirable.
• Ability to write engaging and compelling copy that resonates with a diverse audience.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
