As a Conveyancing Assistant you will play a vital role within our Recoveries department, supporting customers who are facing residential repossessions. You’ll work closely with the team to ensure customers receive a high standard of service and enquiries are dealt with efficiently.

You’ll join a friendly team and be supported by your manager who will guide you to develop your career in conveyancing.

What you’ll be doing as a Conveyancing Assistant:

  • Assisting with a caseload of files from initial instruction through to completion of each sale and/or closure of our file, under the supervision of the Team Manager and Paralegals.
  • Undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision. In particular: Matter creation on Casenet (our internal case management system);Obtaining and processing Official Copy documents and title deeds;Reviewing property titles with assistanceLiaise with other parties and keeping them informed of progress of each saleIssue contracts for sale and supporting documentsHelp carry out appropriate checks with clientsEnsure that all required documents and invoices are received in good time to effect completion.Help effect completionDeal wherever possible with routine enquiries and communications from our client (or their key suppliers)General administrative tasks, such as MI reporting to client
  • What we are looking for:

  • Experience within recoveries / sales of residential & leasehold preferred but not essential.
  • A team player who can collaborate well as part of a team.
  • Passionate to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Self-motivated with an organised approach to work.
  • Our office is based in Leeds and this role is offered on either a hybrid (min. 2 days per week in the office) or fully office-based basis.
