The Role/Profile
The Conversion Rate Optimisation Managers will involve manage and execute the experimentation roadmap, implementing CRO strategy and engaging a wide variety of different stakeholders to drive experimentation and improvements online for the Ocado website and app.

This role will be focused on scaling testing velocity on Ocado's website and app. You will achieve this by employing a variety of strategies and tactics:

  • Data Analysis: Delve into analytics data to identify user behaviour patterns and areas of the website where users drop off or fail to complete desired actions. Use tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, and A/B test results to gather insights.
  • User Research: Understanding the target audience is crucial. Conduct user surveys, and customer feedback analysis to gain insights into user preferences, pain points, and motivations.
  • A/B Testing: Run controlled experiments to determine the best performing experiences to continuously improve the website and app for Ocado customers.
  • Website Optimisation: Based on data and test results, make recommendations and implement changes to the website's design, content, layout, and functionality to improve user experience and increase conversions.
  • Content Optimisation: Focus on improving the clarity and persuasiveness of website content, ensuring that it resonates with the target audience and encourages action.
  • Mobile Optimisation: With the growing use of mobile devices, ensure that the website is responsive and performs well on various screen sizes.
  • Conversion Funnel Analysis: Analyse the various stages of the conversion funnel to identify bottlenecks and areas that can be streamlined to increase the conversion rate.
  • Multivariate Testing: In addition to A/B testing, conduct multivariate tests to assess how multiple elements interact and impact conversions.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Continuously monitor website performance, adapt to changes in user behaviour, and make iterative improvements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report on the results of their efforts, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders, such as marketing teams and web developers.
  • Develop a personsalised experience: Using data and technology to ensure a relevant and personalised experience to Ocado’s new and existing customers.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Scale testing on new Ocado website Follow and adapt Ocado framework for A/B, MVT, and personalisation tests inline with best practice processes
  • Liaising with key business partner Ocado technology and supporting adoption of testing tool
  • Manage & prioritise central testing roadmap & chair monthly roadmap meetings
  • Inputting into product focused new e-commerce platform roadmap capabilities
  • Mentoring and managing the team to increase the level of knowledge, consistency and best practices
  • Key skills

  • 3+ years of strong CRO experience.
  • Agency OR client-side experience.
  • Experience running end-to-end programs.
  • An analytical mindset, able to identify actionable insights from complicated data.
  • Experience with web analytics and CRO tools (Google analytics and Optimizely/ Dynamic Yield a bonus).
  • Proven experience with A/B testing and optimising online conversions.
