Role Overview:

The firm is seeking an experienced Solicitor to join its successful and expanding Private Client team as a Contentious Probate Solicitor.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Litigation and Dispute Resolution related to Inheritance, Trusts, and Probate matters.

This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional Client service, as it involves regular interaction with Clients and Professional Referrers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a busy caseload independently with minimal supervision
• Developing and maintaining strong Client relationships, exceeding Client expectations
• Participating actively in marketing activities to promote the firm’s full range of services, with a primary focus on Probate matters
• Ensuring expeditious progress of Client work, keeping Clients informed about realistic outcomes, progress, and costs
• Maintaining confidentiality and security of all firm and Client documentation in compliance with Law Society and GDPR regulations
• Building and nurturing relationships with internal and external Stakeholders
• Providing support to other team members as required

Skills and Experience Required:

• Essential: 1-5 years’ PQE (Post-Qualified Experience)
• At least 40% of previous caseload should be Contentious Trust and Probate related
• Experience in Non-Contentious Private Client work would be advantageous
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to contribute to the firm’s growth
• Capability to generate new sources of work and introductions
• Proficient in IT skills, including case management systems (preferably SOS)
