An exciting opportunity has become available for Communications Manager to join our Marketing team, You will drive value added communications interventions and activities for our 25,000 plus self-employed courier network, aligned to the overall brand and communications strategy within our growing business.

Specifically, you will provide professional support and guidance to the final mile and courier support areas of the business to improve courier communications and our overall courier experience.

You will take ownership for communications activity, working with stakeholders and in collaboration with other teams to ensure timely, accurate and relevant communications, focusing on maximising engagement and reach across our courier network.

You will be accountable for:

• Working with specific areas of the business and subject matter experts on their communications needs, including advising on messages, audiences, channels, and content.
• Working with internal stakeholders to approve and plan in corporate messaging, ensuring they are timely, in line with our employer brand, tone of voice and style.
• Leading the planning, development and delivery of courier communications plans for relevant functions and projects across the business.
• Outlining measures to demonstrate success of communications activity for the relevant function or project.
• Managing and developing our courier communications channels to ensure clear and effective two-way communications, and ensuring couriers have a voice.
• Working with stakeholders up to Director level to provide proactive and dedicated support and advice related to communications and courier experience.
• Proactively look for improvements in our courier communications while promoting and maximising existing channels.
• Working collaboratively with our Final Mile team to facilitate communications and engagement solutions for couriers aligned to their operational plans and strategy.
• Working collaboratively with other members of the Brand and Communications team to align messages with our colleague communications and external communications.
• Analyse and use insight from courier surveys to contribute to and influence the courier communications strategy and plans.
• Keeping up to date with company and industry news, and developments within the communications discipline, seeking opportunities to apply best practise to our ways of working.

To be successful you will have;

• A skilled communicator – both written and verbal with Experience in an Internal Communications/Stakeholder communications role who is confident communicating with senior board members.
• Creativity in writing and execution of campaigns
• Experience in a complex organisation with geographically dispersed teams, working under different employment statuses.
• Experience of digital communications channels and platforms

Experience of working cross-functionally and managing multiple projects and activities to tight deadlines
