Commissioning Technician in Newcastle upon Tyne

Our client, a leading manufacturing client based in Newcastle, are looking to recruit an Mechanically biased Commissioning Technician to join the business on a permanent basis due to business growth.The successful candidates will be involved in testing products to ensure they have been correctly manufactured to specification and to be involved in Factory Acceptance Testing to ensure they meet client requirements.Candidates will ideally be Mechanically trained with demonstrable experience working with Hydraulics. Experience working with Electrical/ Electronic Systems will also be advantageous however training will be provided as the role develops.Candidates will also ideally have a minimum of 4 – 5 years experience in commissioning of Electrical/ Mechanical Systems and have a methodical mind set to ensure process is followed correctly.HoursMonday – Thursday – 6:30am to 3:00pm / Friday – 6:30am – 12:00pmAny OT worked over 37 hours per week are paid at premium rates to boost earningsAverage of 10 per week availableKey Responsibilities: * Ensuring products and associated equipment have been correctly manufactured * Diagnosing and fixing faults * Functional testing of equipment * Ensuring test paperwork is correctly completed * Demonstrating systems to customers * Answering technical queries * Continuous improvement * QA checks * Work off site when required. * Work as part of the Production team as requiredSkills & Qualifications: * Candidates will be Time Served, ideally in a Mechanical discipline * Strong understanding of Hydraulic systems * Understanding of electrical/ PLC Controls /electronic systems is advantageous . * Must be able to read and interpret drawings and sketchesThis vacancy is being advertised by Complete Talent Services Ltd who are acting as an Employment Agency
