Commercial Solicitor in Liverpool

Commercial Solicitor | Liverpool | Salary: £80,000 + £7.5k Car Allowance + BenefitsZachary Daniels have an exciting opportunity to join a well-known and well-established Big Box Retailer to join their in-house Legal team.

The position will be on a full-time basis to draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts. This is an active and responsible role in which you'll offer advice across the business, as well as ensuring that the Head of Legal Services is kept up-to-date as required.

Responsibilities for a Commercial Solicitor (but not limited to)

• Review draft and negotiate customer and supplier contracts
• Provide pragmatic legal advice and support to business colleagues in the negotiation and completion of commercial contracts;
• Advise the business on the interpretation of commercial contracts;
• Update precedent contracts and terms and conditions as and when required;
• Keep up to date with changes in relevant law
• Provide general legal advice on day to day operational matters

Hours of Work:

38 Hours per week, 8.30am - 5pm - Monday to Friday ( flexible working hours)

Hybrid working - 3 days office based and 2 days working from home

Commercial Solicitor Requirements:

• You will have a minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law - ideally gained within a retail environment
• Able to handle own workload with minimal supervision
• Confident and self-motivated
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
