Our Commercial department is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Executive to join our brilliant team in Milton Keynes.

 

You will establish yourself as an integral part of The Compleat Food Group Tesco Customer team, fulfilling key accountabilities to become the go-to supplier for Tesco. Serve as the custodian of internal and external retailer data for all areas of TCFG supply and relevant non-supply areas.

 

Provide analytical support to the commercial team, driving strategic direction for TCFG and our customers. Collaborate closely with the internal supply chain, category, NPD, and site teams to ensure a two-way flow of information that identifies opportunities to enhance performance.

 

Commercial Executive will support the internal supply chain and commercial team by highlighting issues affecting sales, waste, and other key metrics.

Working Hours:

The working hours in this role are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm, with a 4pm finish on a Friday!

We also offer hybrid work-from-home arrangements.

 

Travel will also occasionally be required to attend meetings across TCFG sites.

 

Key Functions: 

 

  • To establish yourself as an integral part of The Compleat Food Group Tesco Customer team and fulfil key accountabilities (as detailed below) to be the Go-to supplier for Tesco.  
  • To be the custodian of the internal and external Retailer data for all areas of TCFG supply and relevant non-supply areas. 
  • To provide analytical support to the commercial team, which will be integral in driving strategic direction for TCFG & our customers. 
  • Work closely with the internal supply chain, category, and NPD and site teams to ensure there is a two-way supply of information sharing that drives opportunities to enhance performance. 
  • Provide support to internal supply chain & commercial team to highlight issues affecting sales, waste and other key metrics. 
  • Work in a close natural work team with exposure to external customer trading team. 
  • To represent TCFG within the customer in a professional manner befitting of a world class supplier. 

 

Principle Accountabilities 

 

  • Weekly EPOS Sales Reporting across Continental Meats, OLAN, Pastry, Ready Meals, Party Food, Food to Go & Plant Based  
  • Promotion Management, Forecasting, and Analysis both Internally and Externally  
  • Setting up and maintaining product information across Continental Meats, OLAN, Pastry, Food to Go & Plant Based 
  • Maintaining product forecasts across all lines, working with Supply Chain to ensure forecast accuracy.  
  • Weekly Store visits to ensure that products are ranged correctly with a high level of availability, while seeking out newness and changes in stores  
  • Manage Brandbank process with NPD across all categories  
  • Support the organisation of customer meetings, visits and exhibitions and attend relevant customer meetings to grow your experience and enhance relationships 
  • Monitoring and challenging Customer service levels, communicating with all stakeholders  
  • Pricing Management across call Categories, ensuring systems are aligned with the correct costs 
  • Co-ordinate samples and couriers 

 

 

Ad-hoc Activity 

  • Supports the Commercial Team with: 
  • Deep-dive projects by sector. 
  • TCFG Brand performance and strategy for growth. 

 

 

Knowledge and Skills/Training/Experience 

Must: 

  • Be highly numerate with a logical & analytical approach to problem solving. Be PC Literate & have working expertise of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.   
  • Have experience of using data management systems  
  • Have excellent communication, presentation skills both verbal & written. 
  • Have the ability to work under pressure with desire to ‘go the extra mile’.  
  • Possess strong organisational skills & ability to prioritise workload. 
  • Be able to demonstrate ability to use initiative & exceed expectations. 

 

Nice to have experience (but not necessary): 

  • Experience of working for or working with a leading UK Major Multiple retailer or brand.  
  • Experience of using retailer specific systems such as Tesco Tool Kit  
  • Experience of working with Tesco
