CommercialDirector

Asthe Commercial Director at Rovco you will report directly to theChief Revenue Officer (CRO) and be a key member of our seniorleadership team. Your leadership will be crucial in developing andimplementing robust commercial strategies optimising tenderprocesses and ensuring Rovco & Vaarstssuccess in securingand delivering marine projects.

To be successfulyoull need to be avisionary leader capable of steering thecommercial strategy optimizing tender processes and driving theorganisation towards sustainable growth andprofitability.

Objectives& Responsibilities:

Rovco is anexciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to changeas we grow. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities willinclude:

  • StrategicLeadership: Develop and implement a commercialstrategy that aligns with Rovcos objectives and marketopportunities. Provide visionary leadership to the commercial teamfostering a culture of excellence andinnovation.
  • Governanceand Compliance: Ensure industryleading governance byenhancing pre and postcontract processes. Maintain a strongunderstanding of UK EU and international commercial laws andoffshore industrystandards.
  • Tenderand Contract Management: Oversee the tenderingprocess lead contract negotiations and manage contracts to optimizeopportunities while mitigatingrisks.
  • TeamDevelopment: Ensure the commercial team iswellstructured and skilled to meet business needs. Support thehiring and development of team members in current and emergingbusinessregions.
  • InterdepartmentalCollaboration: Work closely with other departmentsto achieve the highest operating standards and support supply chainand logisticsfunctions.
  • RiskManagement and Business Improvement: Identify manageand mitigate risks within the commercial function. Lead businesstransformation and change projects to enhance overallperformance.

  • Qualified orrelevant expertise in Business Management Law Quantity Surveying ora related field.
  • Extensive experience in seniorcommercial roles ideally within the offshore wind or marineindustry.
  • Demonstrated success in contractnegotiation management and governance.
  • Deepunderstanding of UK EU and international commercial laws andcontracting frameworks (e.g. Logic NEC FIDICBimco).
  • Excellent financial commercial andcontractual acumen with the ability to analyse data and makestrategicdecisions.
