Commercial Analyst – Pricing, Promotions and Stock Trading Our Planning & Space teams are right at the heart of what we do. Working in partnership with our Trading Team, Buying & Merchandising teams, and Commercial Retail functions as well as other internal teams, this role provides data, insights, and recommendations on current and future opportunities across the business. This role will provide support and relevant data to offer direction on strategic, commercial, and analytical decision making to key stakeholders. The role will specialise in an area of the business across Pricing & Promotions with the ability to rotate areas of specialism based on the needs of the business. What You’ll Do: In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
  1.  Manage processes and apply commercial lens to ensure we maintain price leadership among our competitors, with the support of a Trading Assistant and Administrators
  2.  Maintain accurate records, complete, and maintain on the system, provide sales/stock/profit analysis, with the support of a Trading Assistant and Administrators
  3. Review and approve price change requests from B&M teams using commercial knowledge and understanding of systems and processes.
  4. Support the Trading Lead to complete carryover, season changes, and terminal stock analysis to minimise end of season risk.
  5. Review and approve requests from B&M, Quality and Sourcing teams to remove stock from the business and return to the vendor, considering commercial and brand impact.

  1. 3+ years of merchandising or equivalent experience.
  2. Strong commercial mindset, with strong numerical and analytical skills (including advanced excel and experience with merchandising systems) with a high level of accuracy.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills displaying confidence and strong influencing skills when presenting information to senior stakeholders.
  4. Genuine interest in product and passion for enhancing the customer experience.
  5. Lead, manage, mentor and coach team members to deliver analytics driven results and high-quality outputs.
