If you have a passion for CNC machineries and a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity for you!As a CNC Operative, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing jigs and production parts, ensuring they adhere to specifications and meet our client's high-quality standards. Reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager, your duties will include:Manufacturing production componentsMaintaining a safe working environment and complying with company and regulatory standardsContributing to continuous improvement by identifying and resolving any non-conformance issuesPerforming manual/CNC machining, including turning, milling, and surface grindingCarrying out sub-assembly and bench fitting of precision toolsReading and interpreting engineering drawingsCreating fixtures and work-holding devices as neededQualifications and Experience:Completion of a formal apprenticeship in a discipline such as "Toolmaking," "Machining," or "Fitter/Turner" OR relevant experience in a similar roleKnowledge of CNC machining is an advantageONC-HNC in mechanical engineeringMinimum of five years' experience in an engineering environmentCompetence in using engineering machinery such as milling machines, lathes, drilling machines, CNC machines, and surface grindersAdditional skills in CAD/CAM systems (e.g., Alphacam, Featurecam), inspection using CMM or Faro Arm, and computer literacy are advantageousThis is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive annual salary of £36,750 per year. In addition to the regular benefits, you will have the opportunity to work a four-day week, giving you a great work-life balance.To excel in this role, you should be self-motivated, conscientious, and have strong communication skills. The ability to work well within a team is also essential.Please note that this position requires the use of a car due to the location of our client's organisation.
