Setting, programming and operating CNC machines including: Bridgeport, Coburg, Hurco & Soreluce. Load, edit and backup programmes. Use of overhead Cranes - Training will be provided. Identify the correct tools for the job and change inserts. Load, edit and backup programs. To inspect products either on completion of machining or as a pre-machining or in process check as specified in the manufacturing instruction.  To carry out required machine parameter changes associated with the set up. To test/dry run new or modified programs using appropriate machine functions and making required adjustments to machine and tool offsets to achieve the required size.   Skills and Experience required to become a CNC Miller:Previous experience should include manufacturing industry, preferably in a medium to heavy environment Engineering qualification level 2 ideally. The ability to read from engineering drawings. Awareness of safety legislation and quality procedures (ISO 9001) Ideally experience using CAD CAM.
