Client Strategy Director – Marketing Consultancy

£50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)

Focus 5 Recruitment are working exclusively with a Cheshire based Marketing Consultancy who are looking to recruit a Client Strategy Director to craft commercial marketing strategies for their clients in the independent school sector.

In this position you will take a lead role in their client services function to manage client projects and build strong relationships with both clients and key stakeholders. You will “wow” clients not just with the marketing strategies developed but also in your client management and liaison skills. You will take a leadership role in the consultancy to help drive continued growth and client satisfaction.

Duties for the Client Strategy Director: -

• To liaise confidently and independently with our clients, advising them on appropriate marketing / customer acquisition & retention strategies
• Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders in a way that ‘wows’ and creates a reliance by going above and beyond in thinking about their needs and nurturing them with ‘feel good’ initiatives during and outside of project delivery periods
• Superior management and delivery of key client projects whilst offering ‘big picture’ thoughts/perspective
• Running in-person and online workshops and coaching and training sessions with confidence, authority and energy (on a 121 and group basis)
• Have overall responsibility for the Client Services department leading with an authoritative, positive and fun approach
• “Own” systems and processes in relation to client servicing and to apply an agile and proactive approach in questioning and refining these on a continual basis (always considering ‘how might we do this even better?’)
• Take a lead role in commercial activity of the business to support growth and deliver against key targets and milestones
• Holding weight at a senior level in the company, you will bring vision, leadership and strategic expertise

Experience required for Client Strategy Director: -

• Min. 5-10 years marketing consultancy, leadership and project management experience, ideally within a mix of client side and agency environments.
• Demonstrable track record in strategic marketing, project management and leading successful teams
• Proven ability to command attention and authority with clients, holds gravitas, can 'manage' a room full of people - either in person or online
• Client-focused and customer-service driven (nurturing clients in-between the sessions - 'saw this and thought of you' - as well as during them)
• Commercial acumen. Client focused- listening out for upsell opportunities and making these happen. Business focussed – delivering against targets and supporting overall business aims and objectives
• Superpowers in building relations, highly organised, driven, passionate and ‘can do’ Client Services approach
• Able to demonstrate pazazz, confidence and creativity to deliver strategic aims.
• Knowledge of the education or independent school sector would be a bonus
• Will have a recognised qualification in marketing, PR, digital or affiliated discipline
