We are pleased to be supporting a prominent property investment and development company, with the appointment of a Project-lead Building Surveyor. The business own, acquire and reposition Central London commercial properties, focusing on maximising potential and value.

The role:

The Building Surveyor will be assigned a specific set of buildings within the portfolio and will be tasked with enhancing commercial performance through strategic long-term maintenance and repair. Additionally, they will work to minimise risks to the portfolio by ensuring statutory compliance and striving for top-tier sustainability practices.

To include…

• Prepare instructions and scopes of work for various projects, including CAT A fit-outs, retail white box installations, lease-related work, common area refurbishments, and external fabric repairs.
• Procure, appoint, and coordinate Consultants and Contractors to carry out these tasks. As the Client representative, oversee the onsite delivery of the work.
• For smaller projects, directly manage and administer the contract through to completion.
• Assist with dilapidation negotiations, typically utilising external Consultants.
• Identify and address any defects or issues in your buildings.

About you:

• MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor
• Minimum 5-10 years PQE
• A good understanding of building defect diagnosis and remedies.
• Experience of managing/administrating CAT A and CAT B works.

• 15% non-contributory pension
