Class 1 Driver in Chesterfield

CLASS 1 DRIVER - REFRIGERATED TRAILERS

WORKING DAYS BETWEEN MONDAY - SUNDAY: STARTS

£15.05 - £18.28 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Chesterfield.

There is working availability from Monday to Sunday with weekend availability being preferable.

This role may become permanent for the right candidate.

You will be driving and operating refrigerated trailers so you must have experience for this role.

Hourly Rates of Pay

• £15.05 - Monday - Thursday
• £17.20 - Friday
• £16.13 - Saturday
• £18.28 - Sunday

Day to Day Duties

• Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Follow Company policies and procedures
• Comply with Driving rules and regulations
• Setting refrigerated trailer temperatures
• Ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed and unit is well presented at all times
• Trunk runs to depots
• Positive 'can do' attitude
• Weekend availability
• Ensure all loads are safe and secure

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
• Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
• Have a minimum of 18 months experience driving CE vehicles
• Maximum of 6 penalty points with no major endorsement codes
• Work in a professional manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience operating temperature controlled trailers

Desirable Experience

Experience of working covering weekend shifts is desirable but not essential.

Training

Driving and written assessment required for this role.
