Claims Handler in London

Davies are looking to recruit an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join our growing Casualty team. As having experience handling EL/PL claims is essential for this role, this will see the successful candidate for this exciting opportunity working as part of a dedicated team providing a first-class proactive claims handling service to major clients.At Davies, we value transferable skills and qualities that focus on what you can bring to the role. While industry experience is a benefit, it is not essential as we will provide you with full training and support when you start with us.What will your day look like:Liaison with Insurers, Policyholders and BrokersInvestigation of allocated claims from the desk, or via referral to a field adjuster for site investigation where appropriateObtaining all necessary evidence and relevant documentationDetermining appropriate actions for the resolution of the casePreparation of detailed reports, where required, providing advice on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tacticsNegotiating settlement where appropriate, within agreed authority limitsCorresponding with all parties professionally to proactively progress the case to conclusionHandling all cases in accordance with the client’s requirements by referral to documented procedures at all timesMaintaining a proper reserve at all times by regular reviewKeeping updated on any technical changes relevant to your role.
