We are working with a highly reputable Local Authority in the Yorkshire Region looking for a Civil Litigation Lawyer to join their department for an initial 3-month period.

The successful candidate must be UK qualified and have upwards of 12 months’ experience in:

Civil Litigation matters
Housing disrepair experience is advantageous

Expertise in dealing with a wide range of civil litigation matters including:

Landlord and tenant disputes, debt recovery and injunctions
Prepare all legal documents including agreements, deeds, notices, orders, consents, byelaws etc
Advocating on behalf of the local authority
Briefing counsel and instructing experts

You will need to have experience of handling your own legal caseload which will include complex matters.

The Council offers a flexible working environment.

Previous civil litigation legal experience in a local authority is essential.

Pay rate is between £40-55 per hour.

The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible.

Due to the urgent nature of the role, we are looking to speak to candidates available on no more than 2 weeks’ notice.
