Job Title: Children's Social Worker (Support and Protect Team)

Location: Workington, Cumbria

Salary: £50 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time, Contract

We are seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Support and Protect team in Workington, Cumbria. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, offering support and protection to vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs.
• Develop and implement care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and law enforcement.
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support to children and families.
• Ensure all interventions are in line with statutory regulations and organisational policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of children in various settings, including court proceedings.

Requirements:

• Registered with Social work England
• A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
• Right to Work in UK
• Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in children's social care.
• Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
• Experience working with children and families, preferably within a child protection or family support setting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
