As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our senior leadership team and drive our operational success.


Job Summary: The COO will lead the operations of The Good Care Group, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centred in-home care services.

You will work closely with business directors to define and execute our strategic operational plan, driving client base development, resource retention, and business growth through organic development and acquisitions.

As the COO, you will foster a culture of service excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining strong relationships with external partners.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the strategic direction, operational management, and performance of The Good Care Group
  • Define and deliver operational plans to achieve business growth, client satisfaction, and financial targets
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, products, and partnerships to enhance our service offerings
  • Ensure all employees understand and embody the company's vision, mission, and values
  • Coach, develop, and support the team to drive performance, engagement, and contribution to business objectives
  • Establish and monitor KPIs across the business to ensure operational success and alignment with strategic goals
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure the business is always inspection-ready
  • Drive a positive, values-based culture throughout the organisation
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to ensure systems support quality, growth, and efficiency


Competencies: Essential:


  • Extensive experience in UK health and social care
  • Proven track record of managing and growing high-quality services
  • Strong awareness of sector trends and market changes
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and external partners
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in achieving financial targets
  • Resilient, energetic, and able to lead and manage change
  • Alignment with company values and purpose


Desirable:


  • Experience in a multi-site, contract-driven business
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalise on business growth opportunities
  • Advanced degree (MSc/MA or equivalent) in business administration or a relevant field
