Yard Sale Pizza are on the search for a new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to spearhead, scale and supercharge the growth, strategy and development of one of the UK’s most exciting hospitality and culture brands. This opportunity comes at a hugely exciting time for our fast-growing independent business, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary whilst continuing to open shops across the capital (and beyond) and make headlines with our top-quality collaborations, partnerships and marketing campaigns with everyone from Loyle Carner, Amelia Dimoldenberg and Romesh Ranganathan to Sports Banger, Netflix, Major League Baseball and over 125 pubs, venues and taprooms across London.

The ideal individual would bring director-level experience, a great knowledge of Yard Sale’s brand and its cultural relevance and a highly motivated, proactive and creative approach to the role. You will be experienced with strategy but focused on impact – not afraid to get hands on and problem-solve in our fast-paced environment, to make sure that marketing and operations work in tandem to support each other in delivering amazing results! You will bring commercial nous in terms of negotiating high-value partnerships and sponsorship deals and how to deliver and communicate value by knowing your ROI from your TSB. Along with a book of contacts and experience managing and delivering results from a marketing team, your creativity and cultural expertise would continue to establish Yard Sale’s brand and marketing campaigns as amongst the best in the industry!

 What will I be doing?

• Leading and managing the Yard Sale marketing function to hit shop and company sales & EBITDA targets.

• Leading on the marketing strategy to hit those results through the impact of ongoing campaigns and long-term innovation.

• Contributing to senior leadership and board level meetings to support the running of the business and contribute to the shaping of its future.

• Maintaining and growing Yard Sale as a highly respected and loved cultural and hospitality brand with customers, communities and in press.

What are we looking for?

• Director-level experience at a relevant brand for Yard Sale (hospitality a plus, but not essential)

• A great knowledge of Yard Sale, the brand and our cultural relevance and the hospitality industry/relevant trends.

• Strong contacts in your relevant industry/world.

• Experience establishing and growing a cultural brand, ideally through a small/medium sized business through a larger phase of growth.

• Experience leading, driving and delivering strategy and impact through marketing, commercials and sales in a business.

• Experience managing a team to deliver results in a motivated, supported environment.

• A strong understanding of working with operational/head office teams across a business to support and work with each other.

• Commercial experience managing departmental budgets, communicating ROI and negotiating, closing and delivering high value partnerships and/or sponsorship.

• A great communicator, problem solver and motivating person ready to be a leader within the business.

• A highly ambitious and passionate person with a proactive and hands-on attitude to having a positive impact across the business.

• Experience of digital marketing or managing a high-traffic online sales journey/platform.
