THE ROLE

Communisis are seeking a Category Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis. This position is open to residents in the UK – with occasional travel to London required. We have offices in Somerset House and you would be required to go there once a month ideally but this is flexible and you can go in more if you wanted to. 

The Category Manager will develop and deliver, in collaboration with key stakeholders, a category strategy and plan to improve the value and other outcomes for Communisis and its clients.

The successful candidate will define and share the way in which Communisis buys the items within the spend category and the route to market. Own the relationships with the most strategic suppliers in the spend category and drive value through leveraging all aspects of that relationship, making Communisis customer of choice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and revenue growth.
• Collaborate with cross – functional teams to analyse category performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Manage inventory and pricing strategies for goods.
• Develop partnerships with suppliers and retailers to accelerate growth and market share.
• Provide insight to business stakeholders through the analysis of spend, supply markets and savings to enable appropriate actions in maximising benefit or reducing risk
• Analyse market trends and drive performance.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 2-3 years vocational experience in the marketing and procurement industry.
  • Experience in a fast moving consumer goods industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Happy to present information to stakeholders and enter negotiations
  • The ability to work effectively with cross- functional teams with diverse cultures and experience
  • Experience in developing partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Category management experience with thorough knowledge of a professional sourcing process models (category strategy development, tendering processes, negotiation planning, negotiation, supplier performance management, value engineering, e-procurement and P2P processes)
  • Experience influencing stakeholders
  • Working towards KPIs
  • Pricing and analysis for supply chain
