Role: Buyer

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (usually 8am-4pm, some flexibility may be required)

Job Description

IGC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. You will be responsible for purchasing goods, materials, and services, ensuring our operational needs are met with the perfect balance of quality, cost, and timely delivery. Your role will involve managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with various internal departments to forecast and fulfil procurement needs. Key responsibilities include developing procurement strategies, conducting cost analyses, monitoring stock levels, ensuring compliance with company policies, and leading projects from concept to completion. Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience within a procurement or buying role, preferably with a food background
  • Confident in using all Microsoft Office applications

Desirable:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification
  • Food manufacturing or retail experience
  • Multi-site experience
