Job Introduction

Join Sodexo as a General Services Manager and play a vital role in managing our Catering and Cleaning contracts and associated services at Qioptic. This position is integral to ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

• Manage Catering and Cleaning contracts to agreed standards, achieving deadlines and targets

• Successfully mobilize additional services as necessary

• Maximize contract profitability and manage costs effectively

• Act as the operational interface between the client(s) and the account manager/director

• Manage onsite client and Sodexo services and teams, serving as Sodexo's primary representative on site

• Provide direction and expertise to promote Sodexo strategies and best business practices

• Ensure statutory requirements and company policies are followed and deadlines are met

• Build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients

• Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team to deliver top-quality services

• Support the development of business strategy in line with current and emerging client needs

• Maintain sector and account development plans, support change management processes, and ensure risks are mitigated

• Ensure health and safety goals (zero harm) are met

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement of people, systems, processes, and services

• Identify opportunities to maximize profit and growth with other clients

What you bring:

• Operational management experience in a similar environment with contracts of similar size and scope

• Experience in people management, especially with large teams operating across different shifts and services

• Ability to interpret and utilize financial and commercial information

• Excellent communication skills at all levels

• Ability to achieve set standards and operate to performance criteria (, health and safety, hygiene)

• Proven ability to manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities

• Experience in working in partnership and collaboration with other service providers

• Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs

• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment

• IOSH qualification

• Experience in delivering training
