What's the role about?

Business Development Manager

Do you have a knack for the commercial game, a love for tackling tough challenges, and a proven track record in the out-of-home (OOH) channel?

Are you a dynamic individual looking for a new challenge with an amazing confectionary brand?

Full time, Permanent

Salary : £27,000 to £30,000 per annum (£32-36k OTE) + up to 20% bonus + company car

Working : Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Territory : North East London

In this role, you'll be the driving force behind business development and territory management, navigating a diverse landscape of sectors and clients within the confectionary OOH scene. From local favourites to regional powerhouses, you'll be the linchpin in our growth strategy, building bridges and nurturing connections along the way.

What will you be doing?

  • Calling upon OOH sites and regional accounts - . leisure venues, contract caterers, in house canteens, and other sites
  • Building your customer network by planning and executing localised opportunities
  • Hunting and building regional relationships across contract catering development managers whilst collaboratively working to grow value and volume of the category
  • Formulating and driving regional activation plans with key customers which would include wholesale activation days, trade events and relevant exhibitions
  • Using data and insight to form a selling story and influence decision makers
  • Taking direction from internal sales and category teams to ensure the OOH strategy is realised
  • Working closely with the client's teams to always ensure connectivity and communication
  • Maximising brand awareness and communicating new product opportunities
  • Obtaining additional displays, driving product visibility and availability, and ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • What are we looking for?

  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude; the right candidate will succeed in OOH through being tenacious and resilient
  • Previous experience working with customers in OOH/Foodservice channels is an advantage
  • Experience in sales and winning new business
  • A full, manual UK or international driving license held for at least 1 year
