Spectrum Industrial is a British manufacturer with over 30 years’ experience providing businesses with solutions to help identify, manage, and reduce safety risks and hazards in the workplace.

Based in Doncaster, Spectrum Industrial offers design and manufacturing services in-house for a variety of safety products, including Lockout, Shadow Boards, Signs, Tags, and Lockout Stations.

Spectrum Industrial holds one of the largest manufacturing capabilities in the UK for signs and safety products, with an extensive portfolio of over 8,000 safety products, including Health and Safety Signs, Lockout Tagout, and inspection and monitoring products such as Scaffolding Tags and Ladder Safety Tags.

Spectrum Industrial also provides a site safety service, offering site visits to assess safe working practices, safety signage, tagging and Lockout needs, and highlighting and facilitating any necessary changes.

Role Description

Spectrum Industrial is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to join our team in covering accounts and opportunities nationwide.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and building and maintaining relationships with customers, in both new and existing markets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, be a strong communicator, and have a proven track record in achieving targets and driving growth.

Full training will be given and once complete the role also involves end user site surveys to support and grow our LOTO and Signage ranges through our resellers.

Ideally based somewhere around Northamptonshire, Luton or Oxfordshire area.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales and marketing, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Business Development or a related field
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in the safety products industry is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of CRM software, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, is a plus, but not required
