The Business Development Manager (BDM) will help the company to achieve its ambitious global growth plans. We are looking for a Business Development Manager who thrives on generating profitable product and consulting sales through personal prospecting and Sales and Marketing led campaigns. The focus will be on effective lead generation and booking sales qualified meetings. By generating new business and enabling the company to expand its share of business within client valuable accounts, the BDM will be making a direct contribution to the bottom-line results of Talogys Talent Management business.
About the Role
Please note this role is a 12 month ixed term contract
Business Development Managers take a consultative approach to selling Talogy’s talent management solutions to decision-makers who typically (though not exclusively) operate in Talent Acquisition or Learning & Development roles. You will have the opportunity to offer customised and off-the-shelf solutions to tackle the challenges faced by these important clients. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for bringing in new business as well as working with existing clients to further their assessment and development objectives. Elevating Talogy’s presence in key verticals will ensure this role balances individual targets and wider business objectives. This role requires a confident, influential communicator who is comfortable guiding complex talent discussions, involving specialist subject matter experts at the appropriate stage of opportunity. We are looking for someone who demonstrates professionalism, integrity and discretion in all relationships, and shows energy and drive with a resilient and analytical mindset.
Core hours for this role are 09:00 to 17:30 from Monday to Friday, with one hour per day given flexibly for a lunch break. This is a full-time, 1 year fixed term role. The role is hybrid with the majority of the role being from home or meeting clients however there is also a requirement to attend meetings at the office base in Guildford 1-2 twice a month. There is also a requirement of limited travel on an occasional basis to provide personal development opportunities via sales meetings, training, and trade events.
