BookkeeperLocation: SittingbourneSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOEMonday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00Company descriptionConnect Personnel are representing a Metals Recycling Company who Annually purchasing, processing & exporting thousands of tonnes of non-ferrous and ferrous metals with our fully permitted, environmental and calibrated weighing facilities from their recycling sites in Kent, London and Essex.They are looking for an experienced Sage Bookkeeper to join their team in Sittingbourne.Key Responsibilities as BookkeeperFiling of statutory returns such as VAT, PAYE, and NI. Monthly invoicing, statements and progressing outstanding accounts, Bank Reconciliations. Assisting with payroll, Handling petty cash. Prepare information for the accountant to complete the quarterly management accounts. Dealing with foreign currency, Checking and sending timesheets to payroll company they use weekly. Raising sales invoices and processing purchase ledger - estimate about 50 a week. Ensuring HMRC is paid - report will come in via payroll company and in house systems - they use Sage and a bespoke software which they will train on. Posting invoices to factoring (Invoice discounting) company they use. Chasing clients up for monies outstandingKey RequirementsAccounting (3 Years minimum experience in accounting, bookkeeping and office administration) Sage, Microsoft Word and Excel. Dealing with foreign currency (desirable but not essential) Invoice discounting (desirable but not essential) Having worked in an industrial environment or Construction is desirable but not essential.This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative and leading firm in its industry.
