Board Member in Trowbridge

Selwood Housing have an opening within their Group Board for a new Board Member who will work collaboratively in achieving the overall company vision and strategy.

This is an exciting and challenging time to join Selwood Housing during a transformation programme focused on providing better access to services through an improved digital strategy.

Coupled with the introduction of new consumer standards by the Regulator of Social Housing. 

You will work closely with the Board to set the strategic direction, agree a framework of policies and plans as well as ensuring the organisation remains financially viable.

We are looking for an experienced professional from a Finance background who can use their knowledge and experience and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion to help in improving our services.  

As part of your role, you will be:

• Attending Board and Committee meetings which equates to around six hours per month
• Attending ‘Away Events’ with the group board and senior staff, around 2 days per year
• Participating in activities designed to review and develop the board’s effectiveness

Requirements

• We are looking for a individuals who are qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA  with a background as CFO or Director of Finance
• Previous experience as a NED, Trustee or Chair would be advantageous
• The ideal candidate will be based a commutable distance from  Trowbridge,  Wiltshire, wanting to add value in their community and able to bring local knowledge and expertise to the table

Benefits

The successful applicant will receive an annual fee of £4,802
