We have a fantastic opportunity for a Benefits Specialist to join our Reward team.

The Benefits Specialist supports the management of the benefits platform provider, annual renewals and the flexible benefits window.

Responsibility for the day-to-day management of external relationships with benefits specialists and providers, as well as to provide advice on day-to-day pension and benefit operations.

Reporting directly to the Director of Reward, the Benefits Manager will work in close liaison with Reward Business Partners, HR Business Partners and HR Advisors in each area of the business to advise on the implementation of DWF’s benefits strategies.

We are very flexible around location for this role being Manchester, Birmingham, or Leeds working on a hybrid basis.

About the role

  • Work with the Reward and Benefits Partner to develop a global benefits strategy and associated principles, practices and policies, ensuring that it supports the People and business strategy. Resolving policy issues arising from the day to day management of the strategy.
  • Support the delivery of the global benefits strategy, including leading on the set up of new benefit products and process
  • Benchmarking DWF benefits against external businesses and working with the Reward Team and Finance to devise affordable strategies to retain and attract the best talent making DWF an employer of choice.
  • Take lead on allocated benefits projects ensuring that they are delivered in line with expectations, on time and within the agreed budget.
  • Responsible for managing the annual global benefit renewals with the businesses chosen brokers, providing accurate renewal information and making renewal recommendations.
  • Working closely with the Reward and Benefits Partner and Reward Director to ensure compliance with Pension regulations including but not limited to Auto-enrolment.
  • Support the Reward Director in developing harmonisation strategies for legacy contracts and new merger and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and customers across the business to analyse, develop and ensure accurate implementation of benefit strategies and business changes.
  • Support the management of multiple supplier relationships including but not limited to the benefits platform, pension provider, financial wellbeing partner and flexible benefit brokers.

About you

  • A professional in the field of HR with specialism in Benefits and Pensions with International experience.
  • Proven track record of implementation of benefit strategies
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Experience of implementing or supporting the implementation of truly flexible benefits
  • Experience of working in a dynamic business environment with evidence of contributing to the implementation of both national and international strategies.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality reports/presentation and analysis.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work within ambiguity and able to execute according to project plans with a high level of attention to detail.
  • A great communicator and influencer of audiences at all levels in the organisation – both verbal and written
  • Strong team player with the ability to influence and make clear recommendations for improvement.
  • A strong existing network of benefits specialists would be an advantage.
  • CIPD qualified desirable but not essential.
