Bench Worker Location: Sittingbourne Monday – Friday: 06:00 - 14:15 (holiday 23 days + bank holidays) Salary: £27, 378 - £31,434 PA (£13.50 - £15.50) + Overtime x 1.5 (+ bonus + annual profit share) Company description Connect Personnel are representing one of the UK’s most prestigious Engineering Companies whose vision is to bring volume manufacturing back to the UK. Job Description * Experienced Bench Operator/Fabricator early shift * Operate and setup various types of drilling machines/Pem Machines * Operate/Load Robot and Cobot welders * Learn to operate CNC Laser cutting/Punchpress and Brakepress * Interpret work orders and work instructions * Carry out grinding and finishing activities * Competitive hourly pay (including occasional O/T at 1.5x normal pay). Responsibilities * Perform quality drilling and grinding activities. * To read and interpret engineering drawings and carry out fabrication tasks as required. * Conduct quality checks on your own work and promptly raise any issues when required. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Communicate clearly and effectively regarding work status. * A collaborative team player mentality and a commitment to continuous improvement Skills & Experience * Previous experience working in a metal fabrication environment. * Proficiency in quality workmanship. * Attention to detail and a collaborative team player mentality are essential.
