The Auditors purpose is to ensure that our ensuring working practices, products and services comply with legislation and meet the requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and the LCAThis role is Hybrid & can be based from any of the below offices;Gloucester (Quedgeley)Tamworth Dinnington

Responsibilities

Your role is ensure that:

  1. management have the data, reports and knowledge to enable non-conformances to be addressed effectively and timely
  2. audit actions to be swiftly and effectively closed down
  3. risk based decision to be made swiftly and effectively, enabling performance to be measured and benchmarked, driving continual improvement in H&S management.
  • Where appropriate, you'll advise on changes and how to implement them and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to manage their H&S risks.
  • Your role will be to promote, be an advocate and embed the H&S culture of “doing the right thing” in every part of the Group, leading by example both within your team and in the wider organisation.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
  • Remain impartial and independent when undertaking Audits across the organisation
  • Work with the area being audited to ensure recommended actions are suitable, reasonable, deliverable, measurable, add value, deliver compliance and support the Company’s values
  • Survey functions and activities across the Group to determine the nature of operations, and adequacy of the system of control to achieve established objectives
  • Investigate and determine causes of non-conformances, irregularities, and errors
  • Recommend corrective action and suggest improvement
  • Advise management on audit, and internal control matter
  • To promote a positive audit culture that is embedded in BAU practices
  • To ensure audits add value to the Group, not only enabling non-conformances to be identified and addressed, but also seeking out best practice opportunities to help deliver improvements to our management of health, safety and environmental risks, customer services and products.
  • Lead in the delivery of audits, ensuring they are properly planned and delivered, that quality controls are in place to ensure reports are clear and concise, meeting deadlines for the delivery of the report and presenting findings to all levels of management.
  • Lead the development of ISO training and deliver workshops and briefings to operational staff
  • Prioritise tasks effectively managing time and workload to maximise the completion of the above responsibilities.
  • Conduct follow-up on non-conformances and observations to ensure root cause investigations have been undertaken and correction actions are effective.
  • Track audit metrics, undertake trend analysis on the audit findings and identify wider opportunities for improvement across the Group
  • Keep up to date with all standards, legislation and any developments that affect our industry
  • Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins
  • Develop and engage sound collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation and information on all matters of SHEQ auditing is provided in a timely and complete manner
  • You may be required to participate in the recommendations of change in policies, procedures and working practices, help monitor the review and revision of Governance and Compliance (GC) policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance with all legal and other relevant requirements in conjunction with members of the GC Team.
