Assistant Manager – Audit Business Risk

The Assistant Manager role is key to the delivery of this function. Across a breadth of projects, the role-holder will be expected to build effective relationships with colleagues of all levels of seniority and experience. Routinely they will work closely with other capabilities and specialists, including Central Risk, Legal, and Ethics and Independence, as well as KPMG Global Services and audit engagement teams.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Working closely in a management and oversight capacity with colleagues in KPMG Global Services to provide regular (monthly and quarterly) reports to the Audit Capability on Partner and Senior Staff roles subject to mandatory rotation.
  • End-to-end management of Business Risk’s principal risk analysis product, engaging with the business to prepare reporting and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Playing a lead, project management role in ensuring that key regulatory deliverables are supported with effective risk frameworks.
  • Delivering presentations to Audit Risk Management and wider audit leadership to update on Business Risk deliverables and build the profile of the team among partners and stakeholders.
  • Organising periodic ‘Industry risk review’ sessions with audit Partners and other senior staff. Lead on the preparation of risk assessments associated with the reviews, helping to strengthen the Firm’s understanding of and response to external factors affecting audit delivery.

    What will you need to do it?

  • An undergraduate/post-graduate degree or equivalent qualifications/experience in any discipline..
  • A Risk Qualification (i.e. International Compliance Association or equivalent) or relevant risk experience.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications, Teams and SharePoint in a professional environment.
  • Experience of working in a busy team environment.
  •  

     

    Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:

  • Experience in a risk role at a professional services firm or other comparable organisation.
  • Experience of large, web-based database tools such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Intermediate or Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  •
