My client is a leading independent firm of chartered accountants offering forward-thinking accounting solutions to a wide range of multi-disciplined customers.

Utilising the latest cloud-based solutions they provide audit, accounts, taxation, and business advisory services to a diverse client portfolio in a wide range of business sectors.

They are now looking to recruit an assistant accountant who is keen to progress and work towards taking on a small portfolio of clients.

Benefits for the assistant accountant include car parking, 31 days holiday with BH, hybrid working and study support.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.

30pm.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant: * Strive to provide and uphold excellent client service across all aspects of the role and responsibilities.

* Preparation of year end accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.

* Preparation of VAT returns.

* Support with bookkeeping as and when required.

* Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities.

* Working within a team and reporting to managers when appropriate.

To be successful as an Assistant Accountant * Ideally you will have knowledge of accounts preparation within an Accountancy practice.

* AAT Level 3 qualified with office experience.

* Excellent communication skills * Good IT and numeracy skills * Ability to work to deadlines * High attention to detail is essential * Team player * Good organisation skills Bridge Recruitment Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency
