Assistant Accountant- Manufacturing - Leicester - Up to £37,000 About the Company We are on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to join a fantastic business in Leicester. Our client is an established and growing manufacturer and distributor of innovative & technical products for engineering and manufacturing applications. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting, overseeing monthly payroll and fulfilling various duties including admins of pensions, benefits and various schemes and insurance. This role would suit someone with aspirations to become a management account as they provide excellent career progression pathway opportunities. Assistant Accountant - The RewardsGreat salary Early finish on a Friday Free on-site parking Long term growth and development opportunities The chance to be part of a fantastic working environment Assistant Accountant – Responsibilities & RequirementsAAT qualified Sage 50 experience Will have previous experience within a manufacturing-based business Supporting the Financial Controller in the daily accounting functions Maintain the stock and fixed asset records Reconciliation of key control accounts Preparing monthly reports and reconciliations in a timely manner Preparation of VAT returns and dealing with queries Margin and costing analysis Will work well under pressure and be confident meeting strict deadlines Preparation and running of payroll (ideally some experience of Sage Payroll) Preparation and reconciliation of quarterly VAT returns Must possess strong planning and organisational skills Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail About UsDetail2Recruitment acts as an employment agency in respect of this position.
