Providing technical solutions to help achieve a sustainable future, Langfields has multiple facilities spread throughout the UK including Salford, Dunfermline, Tamworth, Thurso, Halkirk, Warrington and Worksop.Position Overview: We are currently looking to take on a group of Apprentices that are looking to benefit from first class training to forge a career in one of the countries leading fabrication and engineering companies.Personal Specification:We are looking for determined individuals with good communication skills who have a proactive approach to practical and educational tasks, who are able to work both individually and as part of a team.Tasks and Responsibilities: * To undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development. * Complete practical assessment to determine ongoing competency. * To attend college and complete course work on time and to a high standard. * Undertake any external training as required. * To take on additional responsibility in Years 3 & 4 of Apprenticeship. * To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time. * To understand and comply with policies and procedures. * To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner. * To comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures. * To attend and fully participate in regular training and development reviews with line management * Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in the work area and reporting any hazards. * To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required. * Comply at all times with Langfields policies, procedures and PPE requirements. * Compliance with and commitment to: * Langfields Quality Policy and Quality Management System Procedures * Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. * Working in accordance with the defined health, safety and environmental arrangements deemed necessary by risk assessments, and safety information and training provided. * Assisting in risk assessments, safety inspections and incident and accident investigations as required. * Using any machinery, equipment, dangerous substance, transport equipment, means of production or safety device provided in accordance with the training and instructions received. * Reporting to their supervisor or manager, any HSE hazards and any areas where the existing health, safety and environmental arrangements fail to adequately reduce risks to an acceptable level. * Employees at all levels may stop work if they have concerns regarding the systems of work and consider there is a risk to the health and safety of themselves or others. * Employees to make suggestions on improvements on health, safety and environment matters to their supervisor/line manager/HSE advisors.Required Qualifications: * Completed Secondary Education. * Math and English Qualifications are a mustIf you are looking for an apprenticship with a company who will invest in your future and provide you with the platform to have a fantastic career in engineering, then please apply with an up to date copy of your CV
