About The Role Are you a creative and tenacious individual, with an interest in enforcement, anti-social behaviour and housing law? If so, this exciting opportunity could be for you.We are looking for Anti-Social Behaviour and Enforcement Officer to join the team to help us create safe neighbourhoods, where our customers are proud to live.You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive front facing pro-active services and be our anti-social behaviour expert. You will work alongside colleagues, partner agencies, and the courts to proactively resolve the highest priority cases of anti-social behaviour, harassment, domestic abuse, hate incidents and other breaches whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be customer focused and have experience in handling anti-social behaviour cases through to resolution.This role is being offered on a full time , permanent basis with the flexibility to be based in Somerset or Devon , and a hybrid working style is an option - for internal candidates we are willing to consider a secondment opportunity.We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups, and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory basic check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.About The Candidate To be considered for the role of ASB and Enforcement Officer, you will be / have:
  • Experience in social housing or related profession, preferably with a focus on anti-social behaviour.
  • Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour and resolving conflict with partner agencies.
  • Experience of court procedure and litigation.
  • Demonstrable experience of improving customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of how to enhance performance or working practices to deliver improved value for money.
  • Knowledge of social housing policy, good practice, current trends and application.
  • Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation and case law and best practice.
  • Knowledge of anti-social behaviour, harassment, domestic abuse and hate incident legislation and case law best practice.
  • Knowledge of tenancy fraud best practice.
  • Knowledge of legal casework best practice and of knowledge of quality management.
  • Takes a flexible and adaptable approach to hours of work in order to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a suitable vehicle.
