Title: Peptide Analytical Scientist

Location: Cambridge

We are currently working with a global leader in industry investing in their Analytical department with an exciting avenue in peptide research. The successful candidate will support the analytical development for some of their API R&D projects and work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team with R&D and Process Development scientists.

To be successful in this role, you will have technical experience with HPLC, LC-MS, GC and SFC with experience working with peptides and/or oligonucleotides. Method Development and Method Validation knowledge/experience is a must. Even if it’s only a few months.

Highly desirable experience includes working knowledge of ELISA and SDS-Page.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Development and optimisation of analytical methods
• Characterising intermediates and APIs using a range of analytical techniques.
• Collaborating closely with a range of internal stakeholders to help define project milestones and deliverables.
• Compiling clear and concise reports summarising your work.

Required Experience:

• A higher education qualification in analytical chemistry, chemistry or biochemistry.
• Experience in chromatographic method development (UHPLC, LC-MS, GC, SFC) preferably within a pharmaceutical environment.
• .Experience working with peptides or oligonucleotides: Highly desirable, Experience with ELISA, or SDS-Page.
