Purpose of the role

Colas Continental Bitumen UK in Avonmouth, Bristol are recruiting an Administrator to support at their depot's operational team. The role is 27 hours per week with complete flexibility regards the hours and days worked. You will support the business by, processing stock movements within the system, managing invoices, supporting haulage planning, and assisting with office facility management.  You will require Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities

As Operations Administrator you will support the transport planner to plan deliveries​​​​​​, maintain the office facilities, taking the lead on managing the cleaning contract, and ensuring that cleaning consumables are well stocked and maintained. As Operations Administrator you will coordinate updates for the services on A/C, ventilation, Legionella, and other legal checks. You will also update notice boards with latest business publications and important communications, Purchase Order creation, manage monthly PO profiles, engage with suppliers to gather monthly invoice costs, and ensure they are processed to complete the end-to-end process for payment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an administrative role (ideally in a similar environment) and be conversant with Word and Excel. The Operations Administrator will have a good work ethic, ability to work within a team, willingness to learn, good communication skills, good written and oral skills, able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.

Our expertise in installation and maintenance helps improve energy efficiency and reduce running costs. We currently operate lighting contracts for major county and city councils, replacing sodium lanterns with highly efficient LEDs realising significant cost savings.
