Accounts Receivable Clerk in Guildford

A thriving SME in the Guildford area is looking to add an accomplished Accounts Receivable to their finance team.

This is a newly created position due to consistent company growth, which has reached a point where the department needs to expand.

The role is mainly focused on sales ledger; however, you will have the chance to get involved with other tasks such as purchase ledger as the team all cover for each other.

What will the Accounts Receivable role involve?

Raising sales invoices and issuing pro-formas, ensuring these are received by customers in a timely fashion.

Posting and allocation of cash receipts.

Setting up customer accounts on the system and creating digital invoices using web portals.

Sending monthly statements.

Resolving customer and internal queries.

Covering other duties, e.

g.

purchase ledger and general administration.

Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Receivable vacancy: Significant experience in accounts receivable / sales ledger / credit control, ideally with exposure to other areas of accounting.

Understanding of shipping requirements around the world.

First rate interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills, with excellent spoken and written English.

Positive, proactive, ‘can do’ attitude, well organised and willing to assist with whatever is required.

Knowledge of at least one major ERP system (ideally SAP) plus intermediate Excel (formulae and lookups).

Relevant degree / AAT studier (desirable).
