Spire Cheshire Hospital, Warrington is looking to recruit for an experienced Administrator to join our Accounts team on a permanent, part-time basis.

Working Hours:  Varied shifts across Monday-Friday between 8 am and 6 pm

Contract Type:  Permanent, Part-time, 22.

5 hrs per week

As Accounts Administrator, you will assist the Medical Secretaries in managing the Consultant Accounts Receivable processes for those Consultants who use the Hospital Medical Secretarial Service.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and process remittances/cheques/BACS/credit card payments for patient/insurer/3rd party payments (received by email/post/online insurance websites) on DGL (Practice Manager)
  • Receive payments over telephone (credit/debit card) and process on DGL (Practice Manager)
  • Issue relevant shortfall correspondence to patients/insurer/3rd party
  • Process and issue payment reminders to patient/insurer/3rd party and review weekly
  • Process and sent bad debt to Debt Collection Agency/Solicitor and review weekly/monthly 
  • Receive and manage telephone queries 
  • Process and produce Accounts Received reports for Consultants
  • Resolve invoice errors on DGL (Practice Manager)
  • Record keeping - maintain and update Consultant databases 
  • Manage and maintain Group (Consultant Accounts Team) mailbox
  • Liaise daily with Medical Secretary Team
  • The role will require direct communication with designated consultants, internal hospital departments, external customers and other relevant contacts as necessary
  • Who we're looking for

  • Education to GCSE standard of English and Mathematics essential
  • Experience working in Credit Control preferable but not essential
  • PC literacy is vital and the role will include the use of the following applications: Practice Manager, Microsoft Office, SAP
  • Accuracy, numeracy, flexibility and time management skills are extremely important
  • Telephone communication skills
