The opportunity

The Accounting Analyst is a key member of The Openwork Partnership finance team, helping it to achieve its operational objectives and ensuring that it delivers a high quality and cost effective service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring cash position, completing daily cash reconciliations and monthly postings to general ledger.
  • Taking ownership of the reconciliation of our key bank accounts.
  • Supporting month end revenue and expense postings.
  • Reconciling and analysing balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
  • Supporting the annual audit of the Financial Statements by providing clear and correct information to auditors when requested and leading the audit of cash and reconciliations.
  • Supporting the preparation of data packs for monthly and quarterly meetings.
  • Creating and maintaining successful relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers.
  • Striving to constantly improve processes by making efficiency savings and/or improving controls.
  • Responding to queries and issues arising in a timely and professional manner.

  • Salary - £18,000 to £27,000
  • Bonus scheme - on target bonus -7.5%

  • What will you need to succeed?

  • A-Levels/Degree, with training provided for Accountancy exams (AAT/ACCA etc.) if desired.
  • Advanced level Excel skills essential; knowledge/experience of Power Query advantageous.
  • Experience of general ledger.
  • Experience of Financial Services advantageous, including knowledge of legislation and regulation.
  • Experience of cash reconciliation useful.
  • Good understanding of accounting in a business environment.
  • Professional manner; enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Flexible, willing to support team members with cover and assistance.
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Competent time management skills; able to prioritise, resource, and plan workload; able to take initiative when appropriate.
