People often think Students’ Unions are just about bars and cheap pints, but at Chichester this is not the case, it is so much more.

The University of Chichester Students' Union (UCSU), or SU for short, is run by students for students and is here to make sure that you have a great student experience.

The Students’ Union core functions are to provide you with representation, campaigns and support so that you have a good time studying at the University of Chichester, whichever campus you are on. If there is something that you are not happy about and want to change then the SU will try to help you make a difference. The officers and the staff of the Students’ Union are constantly in discussions and working with the University so that changes happen.

The Students’ Union is a charitable organisation and its direction is democratically lead by its members – you, the student body. It is run and lead by two elected full-time officers (the sabbatical officers) who are either recent graduates or taking a year out from their studies and are the head of the organisation. Sabbatical officers are elected every year by the student body, to make sure that the Union is doing what you want. There are also a number of elected part-time officers and representatives on a range of committees who make decisions on behalf of students.
