MK Community Foundation is the leading grant-making charity in Milton Keynes working for and at the heart of Milton Keynes. We connect people and resources to projects and ideas to create positive change in our community. Since 1986 MK Community Foundation has awarded over £22 million worth of support through grants and rent subsidy to our local voluntary sector.

In 2017/18 we provided over £1.7m in grants to local charities and groups who help people in poverty, with disabilities, young children, the elderly, arts, sports and many more causes.


-We award grants to new and existing projects that tackle issues of disadvantage and exclusion.

-We help to nurture local talent and enable musical, artistic and creative community events to take place.

-We encourage sporting activities and project promoting healthy lifestyles and community cohesion.

-We help local charities to fund the cost of buying new equipment, train staff & volunteers and promote a community event.

-We rely on donations from individual and corporate donors who know that every penny they donate is spent directly on supporting local people.

-We provide subsidised accommodation to local community and voluntary sector organisations.
