This vibrant continental bar and brasserie has a true passion for Belgian beer and cuisine at its heart, and prides itself on serving a diverse and constantly changing range of authentic Belgian beers; with more than 300 to choose from, every visit means the discovery of something new.



Our beer styles range from supreme Belgian brews such as Leffe and Duvel to artisan varieties, appealing to both the open-minded amateur and devoted beer drinker – and if you’re undecided, our ‘Beer Sticks’ are the perfect option, offering third pint tasters of any of our draught brews, paired with three Belgian taster dishes – a fun and appetising way to sample a little bit of everything.



Our philosophy is that food and drink should perfectly partner each other and Lowlander’s enticing menu encompasses modern-European dishes, with Belgian influence ever present; it goes without saying, our exceptional range of ‘moules frites’ are always the star of the show. We also offer a children’s menu, as well as tasty brunch options including well-loved Belgian favourites.



Taking our beer obsession to the next level, we run regular ‘Supper Clubs’, offering a delicious themed set menu with specially selected beers to compliment the food, as well as beer ‘masterclasses’ – perfect for celebrating a special occasion, allowing you to relax and unwind as one of our Master Beer Sommeliers takes you through flavours, qualities and the history of brewing – you’re sure to come out very much wiser and perhaps a little merrier…



Lowlander loves a party and we’re happy to accommodate group bookings; our intimate mezzanine level, the ‘Vedett Room’ lends itself perfectly to private hire. Downstairs we take bookings for brunch, lunch and dinner, and our location means we are the perfect spot for pre-theatre get-togethers.
